What is myHappymind?

As a whole school programme grounded in science and dedicated to building positive mental
wellbeing, myHappymind helps children understand how their brains work and creates a culture that
helps to build children's resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. myHappymind also teaches the
children how to self-regulate and manage their emotions in stressful times, allowing them to be their
very best selves!

How is My Happy Mind delivered?

My Happy Mind is taught across the year in 5 modules. Each module introduces a new set of content and habits to help support children’s mental wellbeing.Meet Your Brain - one of the modules included in the myHappymind wellbeing programmes for children

 

Meet Your Brain. This Module helps children to understand how their brain works and how to ensure we look after it so that we can manage our emotions and be at our best. Growth mindset is a key part of this too. 

Celebrate - one of the modules included in the myHappymind wellbeing programmes for children

 

Celebrate. This Module is all focussed on helping children to understand their unique character strengths and learning to celebrate them. This is a fantastic module for building self-esteem.

 

Appreciate - one of the modules included in the myHappymind wellbeing programmes for children

 

 

Appreciate. This Module is about children understanding why gratitude matters and how you can develop gratitude as a habit. Gratitude is key to well-being and resilience, and we're all about making it a life-long strategy. 

 

Relate - one of the modules included in the myHappymind wellbeing programmes for children

 

 

Relate. This Module helps children to understand why positive relationships matter and how to build them. We're focused on the building blocks of good relationships and friendships.

 

Engage - one of the modules included in the myHappymind wellbeing programmes for children

 

 

Engage. This Module supports children by helping them to understand how to set meaningful goals that matter and how to stay resilient in times of challenge. This module is all about building self-esteem and resilience too.

 

 

PSHE Statement

myHappymind is a mental health and well-being programme to support children in learning habits to support their own mental health. It does also cover all the mandatory objectives from the DFE Relationships Education Curriculum and also around 70% of the PSHE objectives.

Parent App Information

The Parent App is an excellent resource for parents to use at home with their children. It contains a useful overview of what the children will be learning and lots of fun activities that can be shared as a family to help embed those important concepts at home.
